Early life
Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal, born in 780 CE in Baghdad, was a renowned Islamic scholar and theologian. He is best known as the founder of the Hanbali school of jurisprudence, one of the four major Sunni schools of Islamic law.
Education
Imam Ahmad dedicated his life to the study of hadith (sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad) and jurisprudence.Imam Ahmad were

He remained steadfast throughout his life, Imam Ahmad faced persecution due to his adherence to his principles, particularly during the period of the Abbasid Caliphate when there was a state-sponsored theological doctrine known as the Mu'tazila. He staunchly opposed the Mu'tazila's rationalistic approach to theology, advocating instead for the traditionalist Sunni stance.
Service to Islam
Imam Ahmad is celebrated for his piety, humility, and steadfastness in the face of adversity. His compilation of hadith, known as the Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal, is one of the most respected collections in Sunni Islam.
Demise
He passed away in 855 CE, in Baghdad devotion. His funeral was attended by 800,000 men and 60,000 women.leaving behind a rich legacy of scholarship. Hambli, school of jurisprudence is followed in Saudi Arabia and Qatar in UAE ,Iraq, ,Africa and Malaysia.
