Copywriting , a great skill to master

Earning money through freelancing is an uphill task. However, there are some popular ideas and skills that help people fulfill their dreams.

Copywriting is one of them. A good copywriting is quite a challenge, informing target audience about a business and encouraging them to purchase needs a lot of research and expertise.

Whether you are running a business or a freelancing professional, understanding and enhancing strategies may make you more professionally skillful and successful.

In this article, I will share some copywriting basics to help newbies master this skill.

 What is copywriting?

Copywriting is a type of writing that helps you market your product in the right way, having complete knowledge of the product and the target audience.

Copywriting may explicitly call for a sale, including all the aspects, like campaigning or establishing new brand in the market.

There are areas where one need to focus in order to be a successful copywriter. This includes advertisements in magazines, newspapers, blogs, social media posts, webpages, audio or video scripts, etc.

         1.Complete knowledge about the product.

Make sure you fully understand the product or service that you are providing. Being familiar with the product allows you to sound credible and convincing that would encourage people to buy the product.

        2. Study your audience

Your product or service suits at least one customer subset, and this group of people is your target audience. They are the people you should appeal to in your copywriting, as they are most likely to convert to sales. One way to do this is to survey the people who are already on your customers list. You can ask them few questions to check the market indicators or what attracted them to by the particular product and what keeps them returning as a regular customer. You can also use internet data or information from in-store surveys to build your customer profile.

Customer’s profile must include the following information:

Age, Gender, interests and hobbies, education, Marital status, monthly income, family composition, and the area they live.

Once you have identified your target customers, you can use that information to strengthen your copy. Try looking at existing advertisements catering to the same audience and get new ideas from them.

          3. Write a plan

Each piece of copywriting should have a specific goal. Keeping that goal in mind as you outline and write your copy helps ensure that sentence and paragraph serve that goal. Examples of writing goals include:

           4. Making a sale:

This is convincing someone to purchase your product or service. Give them a clear roadmap like the sales can be done from your website, or they can use WhatsApp, or you can encourage them to call or go to your physical location to shop.

Gathering customer's locations or contact information about the potential customers, will help you make a long-term business relation with your customers. This might include things like advertising or campaigning across social media platforms. This means attracting new potential customers.

 Final Word:

Copywriting is unlike Search Engine Optimization content. The main difference is the overall goal. Copywriting is a set of promotional content about the product that help people to buy the service or product that suits them. It further helps converting traffic into leads. Whereas SEO content is created to educate users and increase ranking.
