Summary of the Qur'an First to Third section.

Assalamu alikm

The month of Ramadan comes every year. This month is also called the month of the Qur'an.

Let's make a resolution to understand the Quran along with it's recitations. Thus will help us know What Allah wants from us through his words.

Let's embark yourself  for the  soulful journey on understanding Qur'an.

You must have heard and read many things related to this month from scholars

*As we know that the Qur'an contains 114 chapters. These chapters have been written in 30 portions or part..Every day we would  share  a summary of a part of the Qur'an for your study, hopefully this would give you a brief overview of the Qur'an*

 *first part ( section)*

There are six things in this verse:

 *1.Types of Man*

 * 2. Ijaz Qur'an means the miracle of the Qur'an *

 * 3. The story of the creation of Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) *

 * 4. Condition of Bani Israel *

 * 5. The story of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) *

 * 6. The four responsibilities of the Prophets and the Holy Prophet.

 * 1. There are three types of people: believers, hypocrites and disbelievers/ infidels.

(I).Believers and their Attributes.

There are five attributes of believers are mentioned:

 1. Belief in the Unseen 2. Performing Salat 3. Give Charity 4. Belief in the Book 5. Belief in the Last Day.A

(Ii) Attributes of a Hypocrite.

Many characteristics of hypocrites are mentioned: They speak lies, deceive, unconsciousness, they have a  heart disease, they are stupid, they mock the God's commandments, they do temptation and spread corruption and  ignorance to the society, they misguide and mislead people and are head strong to accept the Divine Truth.

(III) Attributes of infidels/ Disbelievers.

They turn deaf ears to listen to the words of Allah. They do not see the Truth when this is made clear to them. And they can't utter the kalima of Allah. This is the reason why Allah says in the Qur'an about them.

'And he said about the disbelievers that their hearts and ears are sealed and their eyes are veiled.'

 * 2. Miracle of Quran:*

In the surahs in which the greatness of the Qur'an is described, there are letters at the beginning of them to show that with these letters your speech is made and also that of Allah, but you  are unable to make speech like the speech of Allah.

 * 3. The story of Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) :*

Allah's declared Adam (peace be upon him) the vicegerent on Earth.

However, Angels were curious as to what is going on . So they asked Allah are you going  to create someone who would spread corruption in the society.? Angels calling man a miscreant, Allah's giving knowledge to Adam (peace be upon him), and put the  Angels into test by saying tell me the names of things? The Angels didn't know anything about it so they  accepted that they have no clue about it. The Angels' confession of ignorance, the angels making Adam (peace be upon him) prostrate, Satan's denial and then being rejected.  Satan's seduction of Adam and Eve in Paradise and then the caliphate of the Earth being granted to man.

 * 4. Conditions of Bani Israel:*

Their disbelief is the rebellion against the Prophets and the killed the Prophets at their hands.  And the curse of Allah upon them.

*5.  The story of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him):*

Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) built the Kaaba along with his son and then accepted it from Allah Almighty and then repented and asked for forgiveness.

6: After that, in the Holy Qur'an, there is a mention of the prayer of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) in which he prayed for a prophet, but a strange thing in this prayer is that Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) prayed in such a way that  The responsibilities of the Prophets were also explained.

Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) prayed that Allah would send a prophet from among these people, one of them, who would recite your verses before them and also teach the people from your book.  Give and also explain the wisdom and philosophy of the book.  And the fourth responsibility stated that this Prophet of Allah should be such as to reform the souls of the people.

As if the Prophets had four responsibilities,

The first responsibility is to recite the Book of Allah in front of the people and the second responsibility is to teach the people the Book of Allah.  The third responsibility is to teach people the wisdom and philosophy of the bookAdopt and separate the bad things from the heart.

Summary of the third section.

There are two surahs in this chapter

 1.  The last eight bows of Surah Baqarah

 2. Nine bows of Surah Al-Imran

There are six things in the Surah Al-Baqarah section:

1: Prophets are different from each other in excellence. That is, they are not equal in excellence, they have been given excellence over each other for some reason or another.

2: Ayat Al-Kursi means mention of some special attributes of Allah and His chair. Ayat Al-Kursi is the most important and the biggest verse in the Holy Qur’an in terms of praising Allah.

3: The practical experiences and observations of bringing the dead back to life, which happened to the two Prophets i.e. Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Uzair (peace be upon them).  And the dialogue of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) with Nimrod regarding bringing the dead back to life is mentioned.

4: Commandment and encouragement of charity and its protection.

5: Statement on Sanctity of Usury.  In these two Ruku's, it is claimed that apparently wealth decreases with charity and increases with interest, but in reality it increases with charity and decreases with interest.

6: Order to write down money transactions before witnesses.  This verse is called Ayat al-Mada'ina, which means the statement of mutual acceptance of debt.  This verse is the second major verse of the Holy Qur'an

(The second part, i.e. the initial part of Surah Al-Imran, which is in this verse, has four things:

 1.  Correspondence to Surah Baqarah.

 2. Four stories of the power of Allah.

 3. Debate, discussion and reconciliation with people of the book.

 4.  Mention of the covenant taken from the Prophets( peace be upon them).

 1.  Correspondence to Surah Al Baqara.

The relevance is that both surahs address the truthfulness of the Qur'an and the People of the Book.  In Surah Baqarah, the address is often to the Jews, while in Aal Imran, the speech is often directed towards the Christians.

 2.  Four stories of the power of Allah Ta'ala:

 (I) The first story is about the battle of Badr, three hundred and thirteen defeated one thousand.

(Ii) The second story is about the birth of Hazrat Maryam (peace be upon him) dedicated to her for the service of Baitul Madus and the finding of unseasonal fruit with her.

(Iii)The third story is that of Hazrat Zakaria (peace be upon him) that when he saw unseasonal fruit, he asked the Lord Almighty for children in his old age and was granted children.

(IV) The fourth story is about the birth of Jesus (peace be upon him) without a father, the declaration of prophethood in his childhood and his ascension to heaven alive.

 3.  The third thing that was mentioned is the mention of discussion, exchange and reconciliation with Christians.

There was a debate with the People of the Book, then there was a mubahala that you bring your family and friends, I will bring my family and friends.  Cursed, they were not ready, then there was an understanding, that is, they were invited to something that everyone would accept, and that is the word "La ilaha ila Allah". That is, at least these people should support the Muslims in opposing polytheism.  will

 4.  Mention of taking a covenant from the Prophets for the Prophet of the end of time (peace be upon him).

A pledge was taken from all the prophets that when Muhammad comes as the last prophet, you will obey him, believe in him, and if he comes after you, your nations will believe in him.  And all the Prophets promised Allah that if He comes into our lives, we will all obey Him.
